- What Is The Riekestra
Art education is civic education.
The Riekestra is GPN’s primary philanthropic initiative, supporting youth music programs and cross-cultural performance experiences that bring together young people from diverse backgrounds through music.
Named for a mentor who believed deeply in the power of the arts, the Riekestra is built on a simple idea: when young people make music together, they learn how to listen, collaborate, and create something bigger than themselves.
“The stage doesn’t care where you’re from. Put 15 kids from 10 countries on it, and by the end of the night, they’re one band.”
